The group of people we are trying to honor were hidden from the general population by the remoteness of where they did their jobs along with the very primitive communication methods of their era. Finding the information to document the bravery of these first responders to the world's ships in life threatening situations is a tough job. We know a big percentage of the heroes were lighthouse keepers and life-saving stations personnel but there are others. All of this will take time. We are asking for your help to find the information. Eventually the hero's page will be covered with the names of brave maritime first responders.
